As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and other professionals across elementary campuses, contributing to a positive and accessible learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- Previous experience providing occupational therapy services in an educational setting, particularly at the elementary level
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Comfortable and experienced supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Commitment to supporting student success and participating in IEP meetings as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and documentation tailored to the unique needs of elementary students
- Provide therapy services in accordance with school district policies and state/federal regulations
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress toward established goals
- Supervise COTAs, offering guidance, oversight, and support in their daily work
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and family members to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the IEP process
