Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in Texas (TX) OR
    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with multiple years of school or pediatric experience
  • School-based or pediatric therapy background preferred
  • Ability to serve students aged 3–21
  • Proficiency with school health and IEP documentation systems
  • Ability to pass district-required fingerprinting and credentialing
  • Only candidates who have NEVER been employed by the district will be considered

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload (around 70 students, with 30–40 receiving direct services)
  • Conduct student evaluations and participate in ARD meetings
  • Provide consultative and direct OT treatment based on a rotating schedule
  • Maintain SHARES/Onward software documentation and Excel IEP logs
  • Deliver all OT services independently; COTAs report to lead OT
  • Full-time, on-site engagement across 6–7 closely located schools
