Step into an impactful role supporting students in a K-12 environment during the Extended School Year program. This contract Occupational Therapy opportunity is located near Roxbury, MA, offering the chance to make a real difference for learners this summer. The assignment runs from July 6, 2025, through August 7, 2025, with a steady weekday schedule—thirty hours per week, six hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience providing OT services in a school setting, preferably across K-12
- Background in ESY (Extended School Year) services is strongly desired
- Safe Care Certification is preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative mindset to work with teachers, administrators, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted OT interventions for K-12 students throughout the ESY term
- Assess and address student needs using individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain clear, timely records of progress and services provided
- Consult and collaborate with school staff and families to support student success
- Adapt therapy approaches to fit diverse learning environments and student needs
- Promote safe, positive student participation aligned with Safe Care practices
