Make an impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working part-time with early childhood students. This contract opportunity serves children ages 3-4 as part of an Early Interventionist Team, helping to set a strong foundation for their future learning and development. The assignment runs from August 2026 through May 2027, with a schedule of roughly 4 hours per day, 4 days a week—2 days in the North and 2 days in the South of the district.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana OT or COTA license (required)
- Previous experience or strong interest in pediatric or early intervention occupational therapy
- Ability to travel between assigned sites within the district as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and fellow therapists
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to children ages 3-4 in compliance with school-based programs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress for each student served
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ individual needs
- If applying as a COTA, participate in supervision arrangements as required
- Provide direct instruction, modify activities, and assist with interventions to improve fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
