Step into a rewarding part-time contract opportunity serving students in a supportive school setting near Ruston, Louisiana. You'll work closely with children at four different school sites, bringing vital occupational therapy support to help them thrive academically and developmentally.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and active Louisiana Occupational Therapy license required
  • Experience providing OT services in school settings
  • Comfort working across multiple schools and traveling locally
  • Willingness and ability to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Knowledge of PreK assessments and best practices in school-based OT
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students across four school sites on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Complete PreK evaluations as needed, primarily on Fridays
  • Supervise and collaborate with a COTA to ensure quality service provision
  • Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and IEP input in line with school and state standards
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success and participation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized support plans
