School Occupational Therapist - Ruston, Louisiana

You'll play a crucial role in helping students achieve their goals while collaborating with educators and supervising a dedicated COTA. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Louisiana
• Prior experience as a school-based OT strongly preferred
• Comfortable traveling between multiple school locations
• Confident in supervising and mentoring a COTA
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organizational abilities and flexibility across grade levels
• Commitment to fostering student growth and inclusion

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver OT services onsite at Castor HS, Gibsland HS, Arcadia HS, and Crawford Elementary
• Provide direct treatment and support for students of varying ages and abilities
• Conduct PreK evaluations every Friday
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Document student progress and maintain case notes
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Supervise a COTA to ensure quality care
• Contribute creative solutions for student participation and engagement
