Step into a meaningful role dedicated to supporting student development as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity, starting August 11th, offers full-time hours and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students in a vibrant educational community near Sacramento, CA.
In this position, you’ll work with approximately 50 students, providing both direct therapeutic interventions and consultative support. Your focus will be on individuals within general education as well as those with mild to moderate needs, collaborating closely with teachers and educational staff to foster inclusive learning environments. The assignment runs ASAP through June 10th with potential extension or opportunities for the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license to practice in California
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Comfortable serving a diverse caseload in both direct and consult capacities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to promoting positive, student-centered outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services in both direct and consultative roles
- Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment and intervention plans
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to support student participation and attainment of educational goals
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation according to school and legal requirements
- Support general education and mild/moderate special education students as part of a larger educational team
