Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license for the state of California
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong clinical background working with school-aged children
- Effective communication skills with students, educators, and families
- Ability to manage a balanced caseload and provide both direct and consultative services
- Reliable, organized, and flexible with changing school needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to general education and mild/moderate students as identified in IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success within the educational setting
- Conduct assessments, develop tailored intervention plans, and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for a caseload of approximately 50 students
- Consult with school staff to implement classroom strategies and modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input to develop appropriate goals and accommodations
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that champions the abilities of every student
