Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students as a full-time Occupational Therapist during a maternity leave period this upcoming school year. This contract assignment runs for five weeks, from August 4, 2026, to September 4, 2026. As an OT, you’ll split your time between two vibrant school settings, working across both elementary and middle grades. Your work will help students achieve greater independence and success in their educational environment.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist licensure in Florida required
  • Strong knowledge of IEP process and documentation
  • Experience delivering school-based OT services to elementary and middle students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Excellent time management for working across multiple sites
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to students in need, promoting participation and progress in school activities
  • Assess students’ needs and develop tailored intervention plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting and progress reports
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with school and district protocols
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to ensure continuity of care and support for each student
  • Travel between Ocean Palms Elementary and Landrum Middle Schools as needed
