Step into a dynamic contract opportunity tailored for an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting high school students' educational journeys. This full-time position begins September 1, 2026, and runs through January 15, 2027, offering 37.5 hours each week in a stimulating and collaborative school setting.
As an integral member of the onsite team, you'll engage with high school learners, empowering them to achieve greater independence and success both in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois
- Demonstrated experience working within schools—high school experience preferred
- Available to work onsite (remote/hybrid not available)
- Please note: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are not eligible for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ unique sensory, motor, and functional needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support academic and personal growth
- Deliver direct therapy, consultative services, and skill-building interventions in classroom and individual settings
- Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation and execution of student goals
