Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active and current OT license in the state (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy, IEP processes, and relevant federal/local regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills

What you’ll do:

  • Assess and evaluate students’ functional abilities and needs within the educational environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs
  • Consult with teachers and parents to adapt classroom activities, recommend accommodations, and provide strategies to support academic achievement
  • Document all services provided and maintain ongoing progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings to communicate recommendations and progress
  • Deliver both direct and indirect therapy services
  • Contribute to a positive school culture and advocate for student access and independence
