Bring your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist to a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students near Saint Johns, FL. This full-time role involves working on-site (not remote/virtual) with students across multiple school sites in the north and west sides of the Jacksonville area for the 2026-2027 school year.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating and providing therapy to support students’ functional skills within the educational environment. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to student needs. The position is itinerant, so you’ll work with diverse age groups and caseloads at various school locations within your assigned region, gaining valuable experience and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Active FL DOH Occupational Therapist license is mandatory
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Willingness to travel between schools as needed within the assigned region
- Comfort supporting a flexible caseload; specific details will be provided
- Must complete fingerprinting for credentialing (existing prints through AHCA Clearinghouse may be utilized with verification form)
- Eagerness to support students at all age levels in achieving their educational goals
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies
- Collect and document data on student progress
- Write and update reports in compliance with school and state regulations
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute specialized knowledge for student plans
