Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license with proven school-based OT experience
- Expertise supporting students in therapeutic or special education settings
- Commitment to following the school calendar and adapting to assignment duration
- Ability to successfully complete an onboarding process and clear a district background check
- Reliable transportation for daily commute to the campus
- Excellent standing with previous school placements and credentials
- Demonstrated capacity for collaboration within multidisciplinary school teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions tailored to the needs of students receiving intensive special education support (Setting IV)
- Complete assessments, implement IEP goals, and document student progress in accordance with school and state requirements
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to foster student growth and engagement
- Adjust therapies and support based on individual student responses
- Maintain accurate therapy logs, session records, and participate in team meetings as scheduled
- Uphold compliance with all policies, deadlines, and school-based procedures
This contract role is 20 hours per week, distributed over five days. You will work from September 21st to January 4th (with no work required during winter break) at a welcoming, supportive campus environment.
