Step into an enriching contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students from September 18th through January 4th in a vibrant educational setting near Saint Paul, MN. In this position, you’ll split your time between middle and elementary school sites, offering therapy services to help students achieve their educational goals. You’ll also play a key leadership role by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota
- Experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Comfort with collaborating across elementary and middle school environments
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring COTAs is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs or 504 plans
- Conduct evaluations and adapt therapeutic interventions to address student needs
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation and success
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring quality of care and compliance with professional standards
- Serve as a resource for best practices and strategies relating to occupational therapy in school settings
