As a long-term substitute Occupational Therapist, you will split your time between two elementary schools from September 9th to November 30th. At one location, you’ll provide leadership and supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a center-based autism classroom, creating a positive and collaborative learning environment. The other school offers the opportunity to independently deliver comprehensive OT services, tailoring interventions to meet students’ individual needs. This setting allows you to expand your skills, build relationships with new teams, and witness varied leadership and therapy approaches—enhancing both your expertise and your professional network.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid and current OT state license
• Experience or strong interest working in school settings
• Familiarity with autism support strategies preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide guidance to a COTA in a center-based autism classroom (.4 FTE)
• Deliver a full range of OT services independently at a second elementary site (.6 FTE)
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with school/district requirements
