Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) in California
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and sensory integration
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families, teachers, and other providers
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting interventions to meet diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess PreK students to determine need for occupational therapy services
- Develop and deliver tailored treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
- Lead individual and small group sessions to enhance fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
- Collaborate closely with educational teams, caregivers, and other specialists
- Monitor progress, document services, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide training to staff and support generalization of skills in classroom environments
