This contract, full-time position focuses on early intervention as you collaborate closely with PreK children aged 3–5. As an integral part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you’ll employ your occupational therapy expertise to enrich students’ school experience, helping them build foundational skills for future success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current or eligible California OT licensure
- Previous experience (school-based preferred) with early childhood or PreK populations
- Knowledge of IEP process and documentation
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and related service providers
- Compassionate, creative, and adaptable approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer direct occupational therapy services to PreK students in group and individual settings
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and create intervention plans tailored to each child’s unique needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely records and progress reports
- Consult and partner with teachers and families to reinforce therapy goals throughout daily routines
- Develop fun, age-appropriate activities that foster students’ independence and sensory-motor skills
- Stay current with best practices by engaging in ongoing professional development
