Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California (OTR/L).
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of IEP process, assessments, and implementing therapy goals within an educational context.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassionate, flexible, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to K-12 students onsite throughout the school year.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to support student progress and participation in school activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation and timely progress reports per school and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to craft effective, student-centered interventions.
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to assist students in classroom and daily routines.
