You’ll collaborate within a supportive team environment, working directly with children and school staff to promote participation and achievement for students of varying abilities. From enhancing fine motor skills to fostering independence in the classroom, your expertise will span the full spectrum of school-based OT services.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for California
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with faculty, families, and students
• Ability to organize time effectively, manage caseload, and adapt to diverse student needs
• Commitment to evidence-based practices and continuous learning

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility/reevaluation procedures
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement interventions
• Maintain accurate case records and document student progress
• Support students in developing independence and functional skills necessary for classroom participation
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and the IEP process
