With a consistent 35-hour work week, you’ll have the chance to collaborate closely with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and be a vital part of shaping students’ academic and personal growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Pediatric or school-based OT experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt therapeutic strategies for diverse student needs
- Experience collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite occupational therapy services tailored to students within a school setting
- Assess students to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with a COTA for coordinated service delivery
- Work closely with special education teams to support IEP goals
- Document ongoing progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as needed
- Mentor and offer guidance to COTAs and other team members
- Communicate with families and educators to maximize student outcomes
