Qualifications:

  • Current California state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • At least one year of school-based OT experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of therapy needs relevant to K-12 students
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough student assessments and interpret findings for educational teams
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in a K-12 setting
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers to ensure consistent support
  • Document session notes and progress in accordance with school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress review
  • Adapt strategies and interventions to meet diverse learning and physical needs
