Make an immediate impact by supporting students from preschool through 8th grade on a contract assignment near the vibrant San Francisco, CA area! This opportunity lets you enhance young lives across two welcoming school settings while working with a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students.
You’ll collaborate with educators and families to foster students’ growth and independence in a supportive school environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues until May 29, offering the chance to deliver meaningful interventions and witness student progress over the semester.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California
- Previous experience or strong interest in school-based OT
- Comfortable providing therapy across a range of ages and developmental levels (Preschool–8th grade)
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a caseload effectively
- Willingness to travel between two nearby school sites
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement individualized OT services for students
- Support the integration of occupational therapy strategies into classroom routines and activities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with district and regulatory requirements
- Provide feedback and recommendations to promote students’ engagement and functional participation at school
