School Occupational Therapist - San Francisco, California

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid California Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Compassion, flexibility, and adaptability in dynamic environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the classroom and therapy settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation for compliance
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom modifications
• Educate school personnel on OT-related strategies to promote student engagement
• Adapt interventions to meet a variety of functional and sensory-motor needs across grade levels
