As an Occupational Therapist working in a contract role near San Francisco, you will bring expertise in both educational and healthcare environments, ensuring students receive the therapy services they need to succeed in academic settings and beyond.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience working in school settings as an OT
- Proficiency providing home health occupational therapy services
- Solid knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and related documentation
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and student-focused care
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs in the school environment
- Develop and implement therapy plans to promote functional independence and participation
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in classrooms, resource rooms, and home settings as needed
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes per school and state requirements
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to create and review IEPs and student goals
- Educate staff and caregivers on effective strategies for integrating therapeutic techniques throughout daily routines
