An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking to support high school students in a diverse educational setting near San Jose, CA. This full-time position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. With a consistent weekly schedule of 40 hours and a manageable caseload, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful difference while collaborating with educators, families, and students.
What you’ll need:
- Current Occupational Therapist license for California
- Previous experience providing OT services within school environments, particularly at the high school level
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and therapy scheduling
- Ability to work seamlessly with multi-disciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development
- COTAs will not be considered; this role requires a licensed OT
What you’ll do:
- Deliver direct and group occupational therapy services to approximately 30 students, covering about 1500 minutes of one-on-one and 240 minutes of group therapy each month
- Serve students across two high school sites, promoting engagement and skill development in educational routines
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions according to IEP goals
- Maintain clear communication with staff and families to support student progress and share recommendations
- Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
