Skills and Experience Sought:

  • Current licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Prior experience providing OT in educational or school-based settings is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, student evaluations, and goal development
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse student needs and age groups
  • Organizational skills to manage caseload, documentation, and scheduling

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services and interventions for students with a range of abilities
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth and participation in school activities
  • Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans
  • Support inclusive learning environments by recommending classroom modifications and facilitating access to learning
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development as required
