Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapy license in California
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with educators, families, and students
- COTA and OTR candidates with school-based backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Deliver therapy services to students with diverse needs, addressing motor skills, sensory development, and adaptive functioning
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation and progress records
- Consult regularly with teachers, families, and other school staff for coordinated care
- Adapt strategies and interventions to classroom environments for optimized learning experiences
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and insight into student development
