Occupational Therapist School Setting in San Jose, CA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students across three schools near the vibrant San Jose area. In this full-time role, you'll dedicate 8 hours per day to making a real difference in the lives of young learners, providing both direct services and consultative expertise. With a current caseload of 22 direct service students and 13 consults, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to enhance educational access and promote student success.

What You'll Bring:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) credentials
• Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to efficiently manage and organize a diverse caseload across multiple sites
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within a school environment

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy interventions to students requiring direct support
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide consultative services to teachers, families, and related staff for students on consult status
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional recommendations
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with state and district requirements
• Travel between assigned school sites to ensure consistency of care and service delivery

This contract position offers competitive hourly compensation between $55 and $70, reflecting your experience and commitment to quality care.
