Make a difference in student lives as a part-time Occupational Therapist supporting learners from transitional kindergarten through 5th grade. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year and enables you to play a vital role in students’ development while maintaining work-life balance with a focused schedule—just 8 hours per week, across 2 mornings (approximately 8:30 am to 12:30 pm).

You’ll collaborate within a supportive school environment near San Jose, facilitating meaningful progress for students through evidence-based intervention and personalized care.

What we’re looking for:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting, particularly with elementary-aged children (TK-5th)
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Compassion, flexibility, and a passion for fostering student growth
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse needs and learning styles

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students, tailored to individual goals
  • Conducting assessments, documenting findings, and participating in IEP meetings
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success in academics and daily living skills
  • Developing and implementing targeted interventions to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation
  • Monitoring progress and documenting services in compliance with district and state standards
  • Serving as a resource for best practices in OT within the school community

Compensation for this role ranges from $55 to $70 per hour, commensurate with experience.
