Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, valid Occupational Therapist license in California (or ability to obtain)
  • Prior school-based OT experience preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Comprehensive understanding of IEP goal development and implementation
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to a diverse student caseload
  • Effective clinical and documentation skills using evidence-based practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver occupational therapy services both individually and in group settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists
  • Maintain precise records, document student progress, and make recommendations for accommodations and modifications
  • Consult with classroom staff to ensure strategies are effectively integrated into daily routines
  • Promote students’ independence, functional skills, and participation in educational activities
