Embark on a rewarding full-time opportunity as a skilled Occupational Therapist supporting charter schools throughout the Peninsula (Redwood City/East Palo Alto) and San Lorenzo area. Through a contract position spanning the full school year, you'll provide essential therapeutic services across five vibrant school sites, making a difference in the lives of students in diverse educational settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in school-based therapy (preferred)
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing a caseload across multiple locations
- Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Passionate about fostering student growth and independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in five charter schools
- Assess, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans addressing each student’s needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and documentation
- Work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to promote optimal student outcomes
- Travel between assigned schools in the Peninsula and San Lorenzo areas
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and district expectations
- Assist in creating a supportive, accessible environment for every learner
