This assignment offers a consistent, part-time schedule (28 hours/week) with guaranteed weekly hours and the benefit of focusing solely on your clinical responsibilities—no additional duties outside your contracted hours such as bus duty or parent pickup. Both direct and indirect services are compensated, recognizing the full scope of your professional expertise.
Travel therapists can also take advantage of eligibility for travel stipends to help support a smooth transition.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a K-12 school-based setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Comfortable providing both direct therapy and consultative/indirect services
- Effective time management and adaptability to work with diverse abilities and grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students per their IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with special education staff, general educators, and families
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Provide both direct treatment and consultative support as outlined in service plans
