Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid NC Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Previous experience delivering OT services in schools (K-12)
  • Strong skills in assessment, IEP development, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and write detailed reports
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students’ functional skills
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and specialists
  • Provide direct therapy to students, adapting strategies to their unique needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Offer support and training to staff members regarding adaptive techniques and accommodations
  • Manage a dynamic caseload, possibly spanning multiple locations or student groups
