Qualifications & Experience
- Valid NC Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience delivering OT services in schools (K-12)
- Strong skills in assessment, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and write detailed reports
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students’ functional skills
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and specialists
- Provide direct therapy to students, adapting strategies to their unique needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
- Offer support and training to staff members regarding adaptive techniques and accommodations
- Manage a dynamic caseload, possibly spanning multiple locations or student groups
