Occupational Therapist School Setting in Santa Ana, CA

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
• Previous experience or a strong interest in working within a school environment
• Understanding of assessments, goal-setting, and progress tracking for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Skilled in collaborating with educators, multidisciplinary teams, and families
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Enthusiasm for fostering independence and growth in students with various needs

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments to identify student strengths and areas for growth in fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
• Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans based on student needs and IEP goals
• Supporting students in both individual and group sessions in a school setting
• Providing consultation and training to teachers and staff to ensure effective integration of strategies in the classroom
• Maintaining thorough documentation and participating in IEP meetings
• Collaborating with parents and caregivers to promote carryover of skills at home
