Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth as a full-time Occupational Therapist! This on-site position offers a consistent 40-hour workweek and focuses on serving a diverse K-12 caseload. Starting ASAP and continuing through the end of the school year (with possible summer work and renewal potential), you'll play a vital role in fostering success for learners with a variety of needs.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with active and current credential to practice in California
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, particularly working with K-12 students
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, working well with students, teachers, and school staff
  • Strong understanding of educational and developmental milestones as they relate to OT in schools
  • Ability to adapt interventions for a broad range of learning styles and needs
  • Dedicated, flexible, and eager to make an impact in an educational setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and services to students in K-12
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to maximize students’ classroom participation and learning potential
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports according to school and district protocols
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input regarding student needs and supports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student independence and success
  • Stay current on best practices in school-based occupational therapy
