School Occupational Therapist | Santa Ana, California

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist ready to make an immediate impact in a school setting. This full-time position, based in Compton, CA, provides the chance to support K-12 students and collaborate alongside a passionate educational team. You’ll work a consistent 40-hour week, exclusively on-site, allowing you to build meaningful, face-to-face relationships with students and staff. The assignment runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with the possibility to continue into summer and beyond.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California Occupational Therapy license required
• Experience working in school settings, serving K-12 populations
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for OT services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support student learning and development
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to create nurturing environments
• Provide direct, on-site therapy to students and support their functional participation in the school environment
• Offer strategies and support for fine motor, sensory, and life skills development
