Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist licensure is required
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 educational environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with educators, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students’ needs and goals
- Adaptable, patient, and eager to contribute to positive student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, supporting their functional independence in the school setting
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and modify interventions as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer resources and training to teachers and parents to facilitate skill-building beyond therapy sessions
- Maintain detailed and compliant records in accordance with school and state regulations
