Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, or a strong interest in pediatric OT
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
- Excellent communication skills for effectively partnering with educators, families, and other providers
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability within a fast-paced educational environment
- Passion for supporting the educational and developmental needs of diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Document services provided, progress notes, and assessments in compliance with district guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives
- Travel between sites within the San Jose and Peninsula region as assigned
