Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, or a strong interest in pediatric OT
  • Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively partnering with educators, families, and other providers
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability within a fast-paced educational environment
  • Passion for supporting the educational and developmental needs of diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
  • Document services provided, progress notes, and assessments in compliance with district guidelines
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives
  • Travel between sites within the San Jose and Peninsula region as assigned
