School Occupational Therapist - Santa Clara, California

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license (or eligibility)
• Open to new graduates and experienced therapists alike
• Understanding of pediatric therapy and/or school-based practice preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptable and solution-oriented, with a passion for working with school-age children

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary students based on individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assess students’ functional abilities and develop intervention plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student participation and success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of student-centered goals
• Support classroom staff with strategies and accommodations to enhance student learning outcomes
