School Occupational Therapist - Santa Clara, California

You’ll manage a balanced caseload, currently consisting of 22 direct service students and 13 on a consultative basis, ensuring every learner receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist license required
• Experience working in educational settings, particularly with diverse student populations
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and related documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites each day

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students based on IEP goals
• Consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings with professional insights and recommendations
• Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required documentation in accordance with school policies
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student independence and participation
