Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Previous school-based experience or a strong interest in pediatrics
- Familiarity with assessments, IEPs, and OT interventions for elementary students
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Compassion and adaptability when collaborating with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and provide direct intervention for students TK-5th
- Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate on student plans
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to address fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills
- Maintain thorough records of services provided and progress reports
- Offer consultative support to staff and family members, ensuring effective carryover of strategies in classroom and home environments
