Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current and valid OT license for the state or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff
  • Experience or comfort working with K-12 caseloads, adapting to a range of student needs
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
  • Dedication to supporting students’ functional independence and academic access

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for each student
  • Provide interventions addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-help, and adaptive skills
  • Maintain thorough records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
  • Offer professional development and resources for school staff as needed
