Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as a contract Occupational Therapist supporting grades TK-5 near Santa Cruz, California. This part-time role allows you to nurture students' potential while enjoying a flexible schedule—work two mornings a week, approximately 8 hours total, during the 2026-2027 school year.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in California
  • Previous pediatric experience, ideally within elementary school settings
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and adapt activities for a range of student abilities
  • Competence in conducting assessments and documenting progress using school-based platforms
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students in grades TK-5 within a school environment
  • Assess students’ needs and deliver targeted group or individual interventions
  • Contribute to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide professional input
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
  • Offer resources and strategies for teachers and families to support students’ success
  • Maintain accurate records while adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines
