Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid and current Occupational Therapist (OTR) licensure in California
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply

  • Ability to effectively manage caseloads spanning various age groups and needs
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Excellent organizational skills and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students according to their IEPs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address fine motor, sensory integration, and functional living skills
  • Consult regularly with teachers and support staff to integrate recommendations within classroom routines
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings, develop goals, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices in school-based OT
