Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid, current Occupational Therapist license for California
- Previous experience working in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEP) and documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Compassionate and adaptable within dynamic school settings
Responsibilities
- Assess students to determine their functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student care
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insightful recommendations
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress reports
- Educate staff and parents on strategies and accommodations
- Support professional growth, evidenced by ongoing education and training
