Occupational Therapist School Setting - Santa Rosa, CA

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Valid, current Occupational Therapist license for California
• Previous experience working in a school-based environment preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEP) and documentation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Enthusiasm for working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Compassionate and adaptable within dynamic school settings

Responsibilities

• Assess students to determine their functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student care
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide insightful recommendations
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress reports
• Educate staff and parents on strategies and accommodations
• Support professional growth, evidenced by ongoing education and training
