Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse learners
  • Collaborative mindset to work alongside educators, parents, and support staff
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and recordkeeping skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs within the school environment
  • Develop and implement tailored interventions to address students’ unique challenges and promote independence
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights and documentation
  • Provide direct therapy services with a focus on daily living, fine/gross motor skills, sensory regulation, and adaptive strategies
  • Consult with teachers and families to support effective classroom modifications and home strategies
  • Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and adjust intervention plans as needed
