Key Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license in California
  • Experience working with school-age children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to manage a caseload with both direct service (22 students) and consultative supports (13 students)
  • Flexibility to travel between three school sites during the school day
  • Knowledge of IEP process and documentation standards

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide consultative recommendations and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Perform assessments and collaborate on goal development for student support
  • Maintain thorough documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to team discussions
  • Facilitate adaptive strategies and interventions to promote student participation and achievement
