Step into a key role supporting extended school year (ESY) and normal school year (NSY) services. Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active New York State OT license (OTR required)
  • Prior experience in school-based, home health, or teletherapy settings
  • Strong foundation in pediatric and school OT interventions
  • Proven supervisory or leadership background, able to guide and mentor other OTs
  • Flexibility to support both ESY (summer, part-time) and NSY (full-time, academic year) hours
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches for both in-person and remote environments, as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students during ESY (15 hours/week, mornings) and NSY (37.5-40 hours/week)
  • Supervise and support a tight-knit team of occupational therapists, fostering skill development and best practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Conduct thorough assessments, maintain documentation, and contribute to eligibility and progress determinations
  • Participate in team meetings and engage with families regarding student progress
  • Ensure compliant and ethical service delivery aligned with state and district guidelines
