This contract opportunity involves working with children who have multiple disabilities and require individualized attention, helping them achieve important milestones in their development.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active license as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in New York
  • Experience providing OT services in schools or pediatric settings
  • Comfort working with students with multiple disabilities, including global developmental delays and complex diagnoses (e.g., HIE, cerebral palsy)
  • Skilled in adapting therapy approaches for nonverbal or non-ambulatory children
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with families and educational teams
  • Compassion and patience to work one-on-one in a home environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored OT interventions each week (3 sessions of 30 minutes and 1 session of 45 minutes) in students’ home environments
  • Focus sessions on functional skill-building, fine motor development, sensory integration, and fostering independence
  • Support two students: one with developmental delays due to HIE, and another with cerebral palsy, global developmental delays, seizure history, and significant support needs
  • Document progress, maintain thorough records, and communicate regularly with families and support staff
  • Modify strategies as student needs evolve and ensure a safe, encouraging atmosphere
