Occupational Therapist School Setting in Saugerties, NY

Make a meaningful impact in a school setting as an Occupational Therapist specializing in educational environments, providing essential services on a full-time contract basis. This role runs from ASAP through June 24 and supports students in a dynamic, collaborative atmosphere. Located near Saugerties, NY, enjoy a diverse workload with half your time at an elementary school and the other half at a junior/senior high.

What you'll bring:

• Current OT licensure and experience working in K-12 school settings
• Skilled at supporting both General Education and MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) students
• Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and collaborate with other therapists
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with shared therapy environments is a plus

In this role, your responsibilities include:

• Delivering 8 OT sessions per school day, dividing your time between elementary and secondary student populations
• Evaluating student needs and developing targeted therapy plans to support academic and functional success
• Collaborating with PT colleagues and educational staff in a shared therapy space
• Documenting sessions and progress to ensure compliance with all school and state requirements
• Adapting strategies to help students thrive in both general education and intervention environments
• Taking proactive steps to factor in weather-related schedule changes, with flexibility to recoup session time as OT can bill for snow days
