Working from September through June, you’ll gain new perspectives on intervention techniques, MTSS frameworks, and individualized education strategies while sharing your therapy space with an experienced PT. This is a prime opportunity to expand your resume by navigating diverse caseloads, adapting to unique student needs, and experiencing various approaches to school-based practice and leadership.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in New York (or eligibility)
- Recent experience or coursework in school-based OT
- Knowledge of MTSS and general education service delivery
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver up to 8 OT sessions daily for MTSS and gen ed students
- Work full time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm; 37.5 hours/week
- Participate in a team meeting September 2 (student first day September 3)
- Coordinate with PT and school staff for effective student support
- Bill for snow days in accordance with school policies
