This full-time, contract position covers FMLA leave and ensures you’ll be actively engaged in a dynamic educational environment from August 7, 2026, with orientation starting August 3-4, continuing through mid-October. You’ll provide crucial services across both resource and self-contained classrooms, playing a vital role in your students’ educational and developmental journeys.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure appropriate for schools
- Previous experience in elementary and/or middle school settings preferred
- Proficient in school-based therapy protocols, assessments, and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexible and adaptable with a commitment to ongoing learning
- Experience working with resource and self-contained student populations is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services for resource and self-contained students
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams during monthly meetings and roundtable discussions
- Utilize provided testing materials and equipment efficiently
- Participate in evaluations and process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
- Connect with colleagues in real time through regional intranet and ongoing meetings
- Contribute to student evaluations and annual performance reviews
- Engage in the “Buddy Program” for a supportive, comprehensive orientation experience
