Occupational Therapist School Setting in Schaumburg, IL

You’ll play a vital role in assessments, individualized interventions, and COTA supervision, working 2-3 days per week in a collaborative and flexible environment.

Qualifications:

• Current OT licensure and credentials appropriate for Illinois practice
• Experience in school-based OT, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
• Strong background in conducting evaluations and developing individualized plans
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• Previous experience supervising COTAs is highly desirable
• Ability to adapt interventions to a diverse student population
• Passion for facilitating student participation, independence, and success

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services and interventions to students in accordance with their IEP goals
• Conduct thorough evaluations, document progress, and recommend suitable therapeutic strategies
• Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administration, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Utilize teletherapy platforms when needed to reach students and deliver services effectively
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Uphold compliance with school policies and OT professional standards
