You’ll play a vital role in assessments, individualized interventions, and COTA supervision, working 2-3 days per week in a collaborative and flexible environment.
Qualifications:
- Current OT licensure and credentials appropriate for Illinois practice
- Experience in school-based OT, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
- Strong background in conducting evaluations and developing individualized plans
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Previous experience supervising COTAs is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt interventions to a diverse student population
- Passion for facilitating student participation, independence, and success
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services and interventions to students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Conduct thorough evaluations, document progress, and recommend suitable therapeutic strategies
- Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administration, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Utilize teletherapy platforms when needed to reach students and deliver services effectively
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Uphold compliance with school policies and OT professional standards
