Located near Schaumburg, IL, this onsite, full-time contract position spans from early August to mid-October 2026, giving you an opportunity to make a measurable difference within a supportive and collaborative educational community.
As you start your journey, orientation begins on August 3 and 4, ensuring you feel prepared before students return on August 7. You'll work 37.5 hours each week, serving resource and self-contained classrooms and fostering student growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students
- Familiarity with school-based OT practices and IEP processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continual professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide occupational therapy services to students in resource and self-contained settings
- Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Actively participate in monthly meetings, roundtables, and team check-ins to share expertise and feedback
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to refine service delivery and best practices
- Make use of readily available equipment and testing materials
- Connect and problem-solve with a same-discipline supervisor for ongoing professional support
- Participate in annual performance reviews and professional development opportunities
