Occupational Therapist School Setting - Schaumburg, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Illinois
• Prior experience working in school settings and familiarity with K-12 students
• Knowledge of implementing IEP goals and adapting therapy to meet students’ educational needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with teachers, families, and administrators
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation and manage a varied caseload
• A positive, proactive approach and commitment to student development

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a supportive school-based setting
• Evaluate student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success
• Document progress, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
• Adapt therapy activities and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students
• Travel between assigned campuses as needed
