Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Illinois
- Prior experience working in school settings and familiarity with K-12 students
- Knowledge of implementing IEP goals and adapting therapy to meet students’ educational needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with teachers, families, and administrators
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and manage a varied caseload
- A positive, proactive approach and commitment to student development
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a supportive school-based setting
- Evaluate student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success
- Document progress, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy activities and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students
- Travel between assigned campuses as needed
