Occupational Therapist School Setting in Scotts Valley, CA

Located near Scotts Valley, this part-time position offers a balanced schedule—just two mornings a week, totaling eight hours—to make a lasting difference while maintaining flexibility.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist licensure
• Prior experience working with elementary school-aged children (TK-5th preferred)
• Strong understanding of school-based OT evaluation and intervention practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
• Familiarity with IEPs and documentation requirements
• Energetic, patient, and creative approach to supporting diverse student needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs
• Implement direct and consultative OT services in classroom and small group settings
• Collaborate with teachers and staff on strategies for enhancing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress monitoring
• Maintain compliance with all relevant reporting, documentation, and licensure standards
• Communicate regularly with caregivers to ensure consistent support across home and school environments
