This part-time contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a focused caseload of TK-5th grade students starting in the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll work 8 hours weekly, split over two mornings (approximately 8:30 am to 12:30 pm), ensuring support and interventions fit seamlessly into the school day. This rewarding role offers competitive pay ranging from $55 to $70 an hour.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, particularly TK-5th grade
  • Established ability to assess and support students with diverse needs
  • Strong skills in IEP development, goal setting, and collaboration with school staff and families
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a school setting

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide direct OT services to elementary students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and deliver clear recommendations to educators and families
  • Document all services and progress in adherence with school and district requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Educate staff on strategies for classroom modifications, sensory regulation, and fine motor development
  • Support students’ developmental, sensory, and self-care needs to maximize participation in school routines
